Heres what happens. Turn cool air on and it stays on for 5 mins then turns of. Stays off for 2-3 mins then tries to turn on again for like 20 seconds then turns off. repeats that cycle over and over. The belt that goes from the motor to the blower is burning. Plus the motor is real hot. (outside unit works fine) I know the belt needs replacing but that doesn't explain why it keeps turning on and off. Seems like it would just burn up the belt by staying on. This is an old system at least 20-30 years old. Is it just the belt or is something else wrong with it? thanks!
